A while back I rewatched one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films, and on a rewatch I can surely say that this movie is one of the more beautiful Studio Ghibli films and deserves the love that it gets.

Howl's Moving Castle is an animated film written and directed by award winning director Hayao Miyazaki. It tells the story of Sophie, a young milliner who is turned into an elderly woman by a witch who enters her shop and curses her. She encounters a wizard named Howl and gets caught up in his resistance to fighting for the king.

I have once watched this movie before, but a long time ago. So this rewatch helped me jog my memory about the film. However, this rewatch made me realise how really good this movie was. I've become more aware of the littlest details and I have been amazed by the amount of dedication and passion that is clearly shown throughout the whole film that I haven't realized in my initial watch.

One thing that is a huge highlight for me is the animation of course, when you take account how tedious it is for them to draw each frame by hand you are definitely amazed and in awe by how detailed, colorful and beautiful this movie is. How it uses colors to convey different themes and meanings is very creative and you really feel comfortable while watching this movie. How creative the production team is while animating the magic that they use in this movie definitely made me amazed and enhanced my rewatching experience. Throughout the movie, it is proven clearly the passion and commitment that they gave to this piece of art and after rewatching it I have come to appreciate it more.

Another thing I really loved about the movie is the soundtrack, this aspect especially was something that really elevated my experience on a rewatch, the music is so beautifully composed to the point that you are absorbed into the movi

e and really made some scenes hit way harder than they should LMAO. It is so well done and the use of it really emphasises on the tone of the story and just elevates the animation as well in some cases.

Although, I did have some gripes, It is still such a comfortable and good movie. I would rate it a 9/10
